Fortunately, the global pandemic, and all the fear, uncertainty and restrictions that went with it, is now a distant memory.
The amazingly resilient and adaptable events industry has bounced back and live events have been back to booming for some time. It’s an opportune moment to do some housekeeping and make sure that the zkipster suite of guest and event management features is fit for purpose and relevant for the way our clients host events in 2024.
As such, after careful consideration we have decided to retire the integration between zkipster and Zoom. zkipster first integrated with Zoom early in the pandemic, as we rapidly pivoted to enable our clients to host virtual events when meeting in-person was prohibited or restricted. Now just 0.5% of the more than 30,000 events powered by zkipster every year are virtual or hybrid, showing that our clients are clearly focused on live events. As are we: zkipster is first and foremost live events software, catering to special events.

The Zoom functionality will be retired on Monday 2nd December 2024.
Other integrations
The integrations with the EU Digital COVID Certificate and the USA CLEAR Digital Vaccine Card will be removed at the same time. The EU certificate has already been discontinued by the European Commission, and the vast majority of countries no longer have requirements for COVID tests or vaccinations. zkipster users can continue to use the versatile Form Attachments feature to request identification, medical information, travel documents and more from their guests.
Although the zkipster platform will no longer be directly integrated with Zoom, our versatile integration with Zapier does provide opportunities for connecting with Zoom (as well as more than 6,000 other tools) and creating custom automated workflows, from simple actions to more complex processes. In-person special events are our strength and our forte at zkipster. The decision to double down on live events will allow us to focus on the present needs of our clients, and ensure our software is providing maximum value. We’re excited for the next phase of zkipster's evolution, and look forward to further enhancing our clients' guest and event management.
